Major work to make way for the new merger project

Cranes, shovels, grapples, and other construction machinery are in action to dismantle old installations and make way for the modernization of the fusion at the FDB site in Caudan.

This dismantling work is carried out by regional demolition and recycling specialists, FDB favouring local partners whenever possible.

For the company and its employees, it is a page that turns with the dismantling of an old emblematic molding line, familiarly called the “SPO”.

This space will make it possible to deploy the new merger project, for a total amount of 12.8 million euros. The project is still in its infancy, the specifications are being developed, but the new merger should be operational in late 2025, early 2026.

We are this preparing the arrival of less energy-intensive, more modern, and more flexible equipment to meet the environmental, economic and diversification challenges of our production, which are strategic for our foundry and our customers.

A page is turning to better write the future!
